The Lasting Impact of the Windham Endowment
More than $560,000 has been distributed to make Windham a better place to live.
If you have a student in the schools, enjoyed our beautiful Town Common, walked
the Windham Rail Trail, paddled on Moeckel Pond, used the Nesmith Library, or
visited Searles School and Chapel, then chances are that you or someone you know
has benefited from the work of the Windham Endowment.
Highlights of initiatives that have been made possible by full or partial
funding over the past 20 years include:
- Annual college and trade school scholarships
- Renovations to the Windham American Legion
- Anderson Greenhouse at Windham High School
- All-inclusive play space at Griffin Park
- Recreational activities for families facing challenges

Apply for a Scholarship
Are you a graduating senior? We are offering 17 scholarship awards this year
totaling $24,000 to support seniors pursuing vocational, two-year, or four-year
programs. Some scholarships are restricted to Windham High School students while
others are open to any high school student who is a resident of Windham,
regardless of what school they attend.

Apply for a Community Grant
Do you have a project that could make a positive impact in Windham? We are now
accepting applications for our Community Grant program! Grants of up to $3,000
are available to Windham-based nonprofits, Town of Windham committees and
commissions, and the Windham School District.
