Community Advancement Award
The Windham Endowment for Community Advancement is proud to present
the Community Advancement Award for outstanding service and
dedication to the community of Windham, New Hampshire. The Award is
given to a Windham individual or organization whose activities
and accomplishments embody the mission of the Windham Endowment.
To qualify, the recipient must:
- Be based in Windham, NH and have their focus of activity within the town
- Donate their time, talent, or financial resources to improve the quality of life for Windham residents
- Support and enhance local initiatives and endeavors in the areas of education, culture, recreation, or the environment
- Make a recognizable or measurable improvement to the Windham community at large or to a specific constituency within the community
Nominations for the Award are solicited from the Windham
community. All nominations are reviewed by the Executive Committee which
then proposes a recipient to the Board of Directors. After approval by
the Board, the Award is bestowed on the recipient.
The recipient receives a plaque, recognition in local newspapers and on
the Endowment’s website, and an initial or additional contribution
(currently $1,000) to a fund at the Windham Endowment. In the case of an
organization, the fund will generally be for the benefit of the
organization; for an individual, the fund will be for the benefit of an
organization of their choosing.
