Capital Campaign for Windham High School
The decision to build Windham High School is one of the most significant
educational events in Windham's history. In the past, the town has shown
itself to be committed to creating schools of excellence, providing
educational facilities, programs, and enriched learning environments
that are well above average. This school will continue that tradition
but will also be a resource used by many groups and individuals for
other purposes, and will be at the core of the town's athletic,
cultural, and community lives.
In keeping with the significance of this project, the focus of the first
capital campaign of the Windham Endowment for Community Advancement is
the enhancement of the new Windham High School. The funds raised by this
Campaign will allow the high school to include facilities beyond those
supplied by the school bond. Enhancements include additional and
upgraded equipment in the school as well as improved scholastic,
theatrical, tech-ed, and athletic facilities.
There will be a quiet phase and a public phase to this campaign. The
quiet phase has begun, and will continue through 2008.
