Scholarships 2017

The Windham Endowment offers its own scholarship and administers other scholarships. If you have an interest in contributing to an existing scholarship fund, please visit our donations page; if you might be interested in establishing a new scholarship fund, please contact the Windham Endowment's President.

In 2012 and 2013, the Endowment distributed three scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year and, in 2014, doubled that number to six. In 2015, the scholarship count jumped again, to nine and in 2016 jumped temporarily to 14. Please see our scholarship history page for information about past recipients.


The Endowment would like to thank all the students who have submitted applications for the scholarships that are available this year. Only complete applications submitted by the deadline (March 28, 2017) will be considered for these awards and recipients will be notified by June 1. A full description of the Endowment's policies and process for administering scholarships is available here.

For students graduating in 2017, eight scholarships totaling $6,500 are available. Please note the following:

Scholarships available in 2017:

Woman's Club Academic Scholarships: From 2014 through 2016, the Windham Endowment administered two scholarships ($1,500 each) funded by the former Windham Woman's Club. As planned, the Woman's Service Club of Windham is now administering these scholarships which are awarded to graduating high school students from Windham who have had a strong involvement in the community and who are pursuing college degrees. Note: The immediate family and grandchildren of current members of the Windham Endowment's Board of Directors and Scholarship Selection Committee(s) are not eligible for scholarships available through the Windham Endowment.
