Moeckel Pond
The restoration, preservation, and maintenance of Moeckel Dam is the
focus of the Windham Endowment Environmental Subcommittee's partnership
with the Town of Windham Conservation Commission, the Friends of Moeckel
Pond, and a newly created municipal entity called the Moeckel Pond
Village District. Our fundraising activities will help transition
Moeckel Pond from a private pond to public ownership and provide to the
Town of Windham a premier wetland and nature area that insures wildlife
and environmental protection, educational experiences, historical
renovation, and passive water sport activities.
